There are three basic types of foamboard. Think of it like a foam sandwich where the bread for “foamcore” is paper, the bread for “gatorfoam” is heavier paper and the bread for “gatorplast” is, you guessed it – plastic. Now, just like a sandwich, sometimes you want a bit more filling. The bread is the same but the filling, the foam part, is thicker.
